It makes sense, Prince Harry and Emma Watson. I can’t think of any other coupling that makes more sense. They seem very well suited for each other, and the timing is perfect. Currently, Emma and the Prince are both single and are in “good places” in their lives. Both are personable, friendly, outgoing, and philanthropic-minded. They each have important roles in notable projects, Emma as an United Nation’s Goodwill Ambassador for the “HeForShe” campaign promoting gender equality, and Prince Harry with the Invictus Games, the 1st International Paralympic Games for wounded soldiers. Together, they have great potential of becoming an amazing power couple.
According to Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine, the couple have been secretly dating since Emma’s breakup with her rugby beau Matthew Janney in December, 2014. Evidently, the breakup spurred the Prince into action. He reportedly sent Emma an email saying he’d “like to get to know her” on a night out. Sources say, “To make Emma feel more comfortable, Prince Harry brought along 12 other friends on the date.” After getting to know each other, Woman’s Day reports, “He’s smitten – and it’s more than Emma’s looks.”
Emma seems like the kind of young lady Prince Harry needs in his life. She’s well grounded, smart, and civic minded. She’s much different than the other women he’s dated. Together they could accomplish so much for their country and their global pursuits. Hopefully this fairytale will come true!
Update: On Sunday, Emma publicly addressed the dating rumor by Twittering, “World… Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” Later adding, “also… marrying a Prince not a prerequisite for being a Princess.” To which she added a link to a clip on YouTube of director Alfonso Cuaron’s adaptation of the novel “A Little Princess” including the line: “I am a princess. All girls are; even if they live in tiny old attics, even if they dress in rags, even if they aren’t pretty or smart or young, they’re still princesses.”
Hmmm… doesn’t sound encouraging for those of us who were excited at the thought of such an amazing new power couple. But, you have to admit, Emma is classy, even when squelching rumors.
