Ever since the first inklings of making Fifty Shades of Grey into a film, the project has taken some unexpected twists and turns. The film based on the novel Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James was originally scheduled to be released on August 1, 2014, but because of unforeseen events, the film is currently scheduled to be released on February 13, 2015. Postponing the official movie trailer to be released no sooner than September, 2014 because the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) will no longer allow movie trailers to be released more than 5 months before premiere dates. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for the steamy scenes between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson who play the parts of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Thank goodness the paparazzi have captured glimpses of the two filming movie scenes. I don’t want to promote it, but if you just can’t wait, unofficial fan-made trailers are posted on Youtube.
In the beginning, Charlie Hunnam was hired for the part of Grey, and Dakota Johnson was cast to play Anastasia Steele. Well, that changed with an uproar from fans and the public petition to recast the parts with Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel. Soon after, Universal Pictures was said to have supplied Hunnam with a small army of body guards. Then, citing conflict with his TV schedule for Sons of Anarchy, Hunnam backed out of the role of Christian Grey. Within a month, the role was recast with Jamie Dornan. Dornan a Northern Ireland actor, model, and musician seized the part, and never looked back. Dakota Johnson, daughter of Golden Globe winning actor Don Johnson Academy Award-nominated actress, Melanie Griffith, stayed on as Anastasia Steele.
Having all parts cast and screenwriters Kelly Marcel, Patrick Marber, and Mark Bombeck in place, fans are assured prime viewing in time for Valentine’s day, 2015. In fact, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, fans can witness the chemistry between the sizzling hot couple with their first official interview and pictures.
