After splitting from Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus has invited someone else to live with her…
So who is it? It’s her homeless MTV VMA date, Jesse Helt. Miley Cyrus has opened her home to him and paid some of his legal bills in hopes of helping him out. Helt had some issues in his home state of Oregon stemming from a 2010 arrest that needed cleared up. After the VMAs, Jesse returned to Oregon to settle accounts and then came back to LA, where he had been living on the streets. The guy is only 22-years-old and deserves a second chance. Miley and Jesse met through the Hollywood homeless center, My Friend’s Place.
What a nice gesture. Helt gave a wonderful speech at the VMAs and seems to have grown close to the young singer. Mad props to Miley for giving a voice and a large platform to such an important issue, the plight of America’s homeless youth. Miley has also been responding to posts from fans telling their own personal stories surrounding homelessness on her Facebook page. After last year’s Robin Thicke twerking disaster and recent wild behavior, it’s nice to see Miley use her celebrity status for something positive.
