Trouble might be brewing between Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. But are these two pop stars feuding or just fooling around?
The singers locked lips during Miley’s BANGERZ concert in Los Angeles February 23. Katy, while promoting her own tour on the Australian talk show Sunrise, didn’t give Miley’s kissing skills five out of five stars.
“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do,” Katy said, “and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away.”
She continued, “God knows where that tongue has been…We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!”
(Ed note: We can’t blame Katy for being cautious of her hygiene, but we also can’t stop ourselves from relishing in the irony: in 2008, Katy told YRB magazine, “If people want a role model, they can have Miley Cyrus.” The tables have certainly turned!)
After Katy’s less-than-stellar review, Miley fired back on Twitter with two tweets, one making a dig at her recently-dumped ex, John Mayer, and the other sharing an eccentric-but-accurate watercolor of their not-so-intimate moment.
Miley tweets, “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT been.” She continues with the next tweet accompanied by the below picture, “Dontchyouuuu act like you didn’t lurvvvvv it”
When tension seemed to be sky high, Katy tweeted back with a playful tweet that could diffuse the situation: “Oooo gurrrl I’m gonna give you the BIGGEST spanking when I see you in the UK bb!”
