Katy Perry originally listed the 8,835 square foot Hollywood mansion just shy of seven million in early 2013, but with no takers the priced had to be lowered. The mansion finally sold for 5.6 million, leaving Perry with at least a million dollar loss.
The mansion was decorated in an Old World Spanish style, which at first sounds wonderful but upon a closer look the mansion seems dreary and lifeless. Thank goodness the new owner is claiming he will gut the mansion.
Katy Perry’s style is not always on par with the rest of the fashion industry, but hey that’s who she is. I am not always a fan of her crazy style, especially the cotton candy colored hair styles she likes to rock. At least she is a clean inspiration to young girls out there. Her mansion however did not have any of the bright colors that seem to be such an integral part of who she is.
The mansion walls were covered in dreary mustardy yellow and gray tinted beige colors. The furniture tended to be dark wood with grays and browns as accent colors. Hopefully the new owner will bring some color and light into the home that just did not bring happiness to Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s lives together as lovers.
