Johnny Depp, 51, is taking on the role of “The Wolf” in the upcoming film Into the Woods which is set for release on December 25th! Consider this movie to be a Christmas gift from the talented Mr. Depp.
This Entertainment Weekly cover gives us our first look at Depp as The Wolf and Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood. Very cool costuming. A very Johnny Depp signature take on The Wolf character for sure!
Depp and Crawford share the screen with Meryl Streep (The Witch), Mackenzie Mauzy (Rapunzel), Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick (Cinderella), Chris Pine (The Prince), Emily Blunt (The Baker’s Wife), and James Corden (The Baker). The film itself will be a modern retelling of popular fairy tales and will also be musical in nature. Depp sang in Sweeney Todd, so it will be interesting to see him display is vocals once again.
