Jersey Shore party girl no more: Snooki finally tied the knot this past weekend to longtime fiance Jionni LaValle in New Jersey. The wedding was Gatsby-themed, and Snooki had even shared a snapshot from Leonard DiCaprio in the Gatsby film as a preview before the nuptials. “No old sport… I’m Gatsby #LetsDoThis,” she said.
For the ceremony at the Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey, Snooki wore a traditional, lace gown by Eve of Milady, along with a long veil and white flowers. She shared photos of the first kiss the next day on her blog. “Waking up today Mrs. Nicole LaValle,” she captioned them.
Also in attendance for the event were bridesmaids and fellow Jersey Shore cast members Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sammi Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese. The ladies wore black floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of white flowers. JWoww accessorized her half-shaved haircut with a crystal headwrap and fan earrings.
DJ Pauly D DelVecchio was also present, looking clean cut dressed up in a navy suit and tie with a gingham shirt.
Snooki and Jionni have been engaged since March 2012.
“I have different priorities now. I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready,” Snooki told US Magazine about her engagement in 2012.
The couple have two children together: Lorenzo, 2 and Giovanna Marie, 3 months.
