Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, 41, and rocker Chris Martin, 37, are separating! The couple, who have been together for over 11 years and married since December 2003, announced on Paltrow’s website http://www.GOOP.com. (After news broke, the servers for GOOP couldn’t handle the increased web traffic…)
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.

Back in September, Perez Hilton spotted Paltrow with ex-boyfriend Donovan Leitch kissing at a Dodgers game! Leitch is married to model Kirsty Hume – wonder what she thinks about the allegations? Gwynnie’s children were there too! Perhaps it was a friendly smooch but it’s still suspicious…
Back in January TMZ caught up with Chris in California and asked him about which Rolling Stones is his favorite. He quickly replied, “She’s So Cold.” Ehh, that could have been a signal of things to come.
Currently the former couple is vacationing in the Bahamas with their kids Apple, 9, and Moses, 7. Considering how huge this news is for their family unit, it’s probably wise to shield their children from media attention and privately help them adjust to the new family arrangement.
