Brad Pitt had been married to beloved ‘Friends’ actress Jennifer Aniston for four years when he began filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie. Of course the rumor mill claimed a romance was developing between the two co-stars. In early 2005, Brad admitted to Aniston that he was in love with Jolie. The pair tried to hide their new budding relationship from the public, but a series of paparazzi photos made their courtship obvious.

Brad Pitt was not shy about his love for Angelina and her two children, Maddox and Zahara. He would go on to adopt both children; changing their last name to Jolie-Pitt. The two didn’t waste time making a child of their own. In May 2006 their first child, a daughter named Shiloh, who was born in Namibia. They proactively sold her first pictures and donated the money to charity.

Just two years later, Angelina gave birth to a set of twins: a boy named Knox and a girl named Vivienne. The twins were born in France, making every Jolie-Pitt child born in a different country.

Their relationship has continued to evolve and blossom. Angelina and Brad have made many public appearances and humanitarian efforts, but stated they would not marry until everyone in America could legally marry. Brad Pitt finally proposed to Angelina in April 2012, after their children begged them to get married.

Although an official wedding date is yet to be set, rumors swirl that every year will be “the year”. Regardless of when they actually marry, there is no doubt the two are in it for the long run and remain Hollywood’s “It” couple!
