She’s killing it! 34-year-old actress and comedian Amy Schumer took to Instagram yesterday to share with us a picture of her rocking a sleek black one-piece swimsuit. The photo was posted as a stance against negative comments from body-shapers, so it was appropriately captioned “I meant to write “good morning trolls!” I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone. This is how I look. I feel happy.”
Amy Schumer’s claim to fame is not her serious nature. So naturally, she wrapped it up with her iconic sense of humor and reminded everyone that she’s confident as can be, but doesn’t take herself too seriously. She said “I think I look strong and healthy and also like miss trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!”
Though it’s a pretty funny comment to compare herself to Miss Trunchbull, I think we can all agree that the reality is that she looks absolutely stunning. This pic came from a vacation in Hawaii that Amy and her current boyfriend Ben Hanisch took to celebrate their six-month-anniversary. The furniture designer posted to Instagram earlier this week. “Six months with this babe and I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
Amy on the other hand took a less sappy approach. To no one’s surprise, she took a less serious approach and posted about the occasion with the caption “Ewwwww.”
Cheers to you, Amy. While she’s out soaking up the sun, she reminds us all to stay humble, love your own life and never take it too seriously. While body shamers spend their days scrutinizing, Amy’s just having fun! If this isn’t goals, I don’t know what is.
