According to E! News, Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel, 34, welcomed a baby boy, with husband Vincent Kartheiser, 37, last autumn. The couple quietly got married in 2014 after falling in love on the set of AMC’s Mad Men. Given their secretive history, it’s easy to see the pair keeping mum about Alexis’ pregnancy and the birth of their first child.
The couple’s baby news hit the public radar when Gilmore Girls actor Scott Patterson (aka Luke Danes) mentioned Bledel’s new mommy status during an interview.
“It was great to see her. She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy,” he told Glamour magazine. “I remember her as an 18-year-old kid, fresh out of college coming into Hollywood and being a little overwhelmed. She’s just the most likeable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same.”
He added, “We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.”
The actress was recently photographed on set of the Netflix Gilmore Girls revival. Hopefully she won’t be too upset at Scott Patterson for revealing her big—secret— news.
