With three failed engagements since his last marriage, will Johnny Depp and Amber Heard say "I Do"?
Although Johnny Depp has dated and been engaged to multiple women, it has been nearly 30 years since the Pirates of the Caribbean star has actually been married. He did have a long relationship with Vanessa Paradis, a French singer and actress. They were together for over a decade and had two children together, daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp, 14, and son John “Jack” Christopher III, 11. Despite their enduring relationship, the two never made it down the aisle.
Not long after splitting from Vanessa, Johnny began dating Amber Heard who is nearly 25 years his junior. The two met on the set of The Rum Diary in 201, in which they played forbidden love interests. Depp supposedly proposed to Amber back in late 2013, but she took her time deciding her answer.. given Depp’s track record of failed engagements, it’s no wonder Amber was apprehensive.
In late January, Amber was spotted attempting to hide a large diamond ring on her left ring finger. Johnny began wearing a diamond band on his left ring finger, so it seems he got some pre-wedding bling too. Johnny has been gushing about his bride-to-be, calling her a “Southern Belle” and “good for him.” We’ll have to wait and see if this engagement leads to Johnny and Amber officially becoming Mr. & Mrs.!
