This isn't the first time Scarlett has ranted about her given made-up nickname: ScarJo.
Scarlett Johansson has never been a fan of her nickname ScarJo. She says: “It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant. And there’s something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it.” The full interview with her nickname rant was printed in the May 2014 issue of Glamour magazine.
She’s not the only celeb saddled with a short moniker: RPatz, KStew, Kimye, JLaw… just to name a few.
It seems she feels her acting talent is somehow diminished or cheapened when given a shortened nickname. Back in 2011 she questioned why she received a nickname, but the likes of Cate Blanchett did not. Take note, citizens of France! Don’t follow the media’s example! She now lives in Paris with soon-to-be husband Romain Dauriac.
Come on Scarlett, you are beautiful and talented, don’t let your nickname throw off your amazing aura. It’s just a silly nickname and is less of a mouthful than Scarlett Johansson. Maybe once she gives birth to her first child, the nickname will die down? Who knows.
