Pixar’s “Finding Dory” Won’t Take Place in the Ocean

Pixar has released more details surrounding 2016's "Finding Dory".

We have waited over a decade for a Finding Nemo sequel to be made! We can expect Finding Dory to make waves on June 17, 2016!

The film will actually be set at the Marine Biology Institute of California, where Dory was hatched and lived prior to being in the open ocean according to Pixar President Jim Morris. The sequel takes place shortly after Finding Nemo and Dory experiences flashbacks to her life before meeting Marlin and Nemo. These memories spark Dory’s desire to locate her family in California.

From a coral reef in Australia to California, now that’s a long swim.

This film is going to be amazing with Ellen DeGeneres returning to voice Dory! Albert Brooks will return to voice Marlin, Eugene Levy will voice Charlie (Dory’s father) and Diane Keaton will voice Jenny (Dory’s mother). Even better, ‘Modern Family’ actor Ty Burrell will voice a Beluga whale named Bailey.

Ugh, 2016 feels so far away. Until then… Just keep swimming!
