Never Before Heard Michael Jackson Tracks Released This Week

Micheal Jackson will always be the King of Pop! More of his music is being released to the public!

Fans rejoiced as Sony Music Unlimited, the music streaming service, released a new song from Michael Jackson’s album each day. The tracks can be heard exclusively on the streaming service, although previews of some were available on TwitMusic.

The May 13 release of the Xscape album is highly anticipated. The first track released was Chicago, originally recorded by the King of Pop 15 years ago; it was originally slated for Jackson’s Invincible album in 2001.

“Jackson had a habit of over-recording albums; often times this meant outstanding songs were left o the cutting room floor,” reads the album liner.

“Jackson sings in his lower register in the verses over an ominous beat, slowly painting a story of an illicit affair, before unleashing a torrent of pain and regret in the chorus.”

The tracks, originally recorded between 1983 and 1999,  were updated and modernized by some of pop music’s brightest minds.

Epic Chairman L.A. Reid said he chose producers with the “gravitas, depth and the range to creatively engage with Jackson’s work.”

Timbaland is listed as the lead producer, with Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon and McClain contributing. The album will also feature a bonus version of “Love Never Felt So Good” with Justin Timberlake.

When Jackson passed away in 2009, his estate executors signed a deal with Sony in order to continue releasing new music from his archives.

“(L.A. Reid) was granted unlimited access to the treasures representing four decades of material on with Jackson had completed his vocals,” Sony said in a statement.

So happy the world will soon hear more from the King of Pop!
