Melissa Rivers Speaks and Sues in Joan Rivers’ Honor

More details surrounding the tragic events that led to Joan Rivers' death have begun to surface. Daughter Melissa, is not standing by idly.

It was just three weeks ago that Joan Rivers went in for a routine endoscopy to have her vocal chords and throat examined, when she went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital where she later died on September 4, 2014. In recent days more details surrounding the procedure and what actually went on during Joan’s sedation are coming to light.

The latest rumors have an ear, nose, and throat doctor with a rather impressive list of celebrity patients being at the procedure and taking actions that may have led Joan into cardiac arrest. Joan’s doctor reportedly began an unauthorized and unplanned biopsy of the comedian’s vocal chords during the endoscopy. Although the doctor was brought in by Joan, she was still not authorized to perform any procedures at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic where Joan went to have her throat examined.

Regardless if her personal doctor should have been present at the during the procedure while an accredited doctor of the clinic performed the examination, there is absolutely no question that her personal doctor should not have started cutting anything out of Joan’s throat for examination without Joan’s permission. It seems to be an agreed upon fact that it was the biopsying of Joan’s throat that lead to breathing complications and ultimately her being rushed to the hospital.

The worst part of the latest news….rumors are also swirling that one of the doctors present in the room during the endoscopy took a selfie of themselves with an unconscious Joan. This is beyond appalling. It seems as though Joan River’s privacy and rights were abused at every turn during that fateful day in late August 2014.

Those close to Melissa claim she will more than likely be placing lawsuits and complaints in regards to how her mother’s medical procedure was handled in New York at the Yorkville Endoscopy Clinic. Joan Rivers always stood up for herself, so at a time when she cannot, her daughter is proudly filling her shoes.
