What makes Lorde sooo different than Kanye and Jennifer Lopez? Well, she’s been a good sport about the Lorde-themed bit on the popular comedy series, South Park.
Turns out the young pop star was totally cool with South Park dad-extraordinaire and geologist Randy Marsh portraying her. “I was thinking, ‘Yeah he has a mustache…I mean I have a mustache, but is it that prominent?’ But it was someone’s dad pretending to be me.”, humorously explained Lorde during an interview with New Zealand’s TV3.
At 17-years-old, she’s already more mature than Kanye. Oh fishsticks.
Speaking of Lorde, the City of San Francisco’s top radio stations have banned her hit single Royals until the World Series wraps. Right now, the Kansas City Royals are facing off against the San Francisco Giant’s for baseball’s biggest prize.
As we know, Lorde penned Royals after spotting a vintage 1976 National Geographic photo of baseball icon George Brett signing baseballs while wearing his KC Royals uniform. The word “Royals” is what caught her attention and inspired the hit song. After this very public ban, she might be cheering for the Royals to stomp the Giants a little more…
