As revealed by a deleted scene from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Jenner is entertaining the idea of switching her name back to ‘Kris Kardashian.’ She wants the name she held while married to lawyer Robert Kardashian for twelve years— not her maiden name of ‘Houghton.’
Interesting note, Kris has been known as ‘Kris Jenner’ way longer— over 24 years. The reason why she and Robert split up in 1991 is because she cheated on him with former soccer player and animator Todd Waterman.
Between her two failed marriages, the ‘momager’ has six children: four (Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert) with her first husband and two (Kendall and Kylie) with her second husband.
While in the car, Kris discloses to Khloe that she sometimes uses the name “Kris Kardashian” to get favors— like reservations at restaurants. Obviously, Khloe was upset by her mother’s use of the name ‘Kardashian’ and mentions Kylie and Kendall’s possible hurt feelings about the planned name swap.
Of course, Kris brushes off Khloe’s valid concerns and mentions Caitlyn Jenner in the process. Whoa. Transitioning is totally a different thing.
It’s pretty obvious why Kris wants the Kardashian name back— it holds more monetary value and benefits. We side with Khloe’s reaction on this matter!
