Did Kim Kardashian and Kanye West get hitched before they jet off to Paris?
It’s been widely reported that the parents of North West were planning a blowout wedding extravaganza in Paris this summer, but it now appears that the pair may have opted for a small, secret ceremony in California this week.
Last week, TMZ reported that Kim and Kanye had obtained a confidential marriage license in California.
“Kim and Kanye are now married on paper. they got their license in California over the past few days,” a source told Life & Style. “Kim and North are on their way to NYC now.”
Kim and Kanye attended the swanky Met Gala on Monday night. Kim’s rep would not comment on the rumors.
“There is no statement and no comment on the wedding conjecture,” her rep told New York Daily News.
The “intimate” Paris wedding of 200 close family and friends is scheduled for May 24. This is the third wedding for Kim and the first for Kanye.
A legal marriage on American soil ahead of their French wedding celebration makes perfect sense. Apparently it’s really difficult for non-French couples to get married in the country and the ceremony wouldn’t have any legal binding.
Rumor has it that Kim Kardashian hopes to conceive a sibling for 10-month-old North West shortly after the wedding extravaganza!
