Kim Kardashian is now a part of the Burger King family thanks to Kanye West.
Thirty-six-year-old Kanye is an experienced fast food businessman: He owns several Fatburger locations in Chicago. And now he’s looking to further diversify his and Kim’s portfolio by adding 10 locations of Burger King throughout Europe- just in time to gift them before their May 24 Parisian wedding.
It had been rumored that Kanye was eyeing the chains in Italy, France and the UK. Burger King confirmed the purchase this week amid a congratulatory tweet for the couple’s recent Vogue cover:
“Vogue cover and 10 Burger Kings for a wedding present #kimye #likeaking,” the burger chain tweeted.
After all, what do you get the girl who literally has everything?
“She owns all of the jewels anyone could ever want, so he is taking the practical route by investing in businesses for her instead,” a source told the Daily Star about the purchase. “He is thinking outside the box when it comes to gifts.”
“He knows the fast food industry is reliable and lucrative, plus BK is international so he thinks it’s the perfect fit for Kim,” the source said. “That’s where he sees her future career, away from reality TV.”
Although if there were a reality show about Kim running a Burger King, we’re pretty sure we would tune in.
Kim and Kanye began dating in April 2012 and were engaged this past October. They are scheduled to wed this summer. They welcomed daughter North West in July 2013.
I wonder if Kanye was thinking: “Girl, bring me back some French fries and a Whopper Jr. next time you’re in Paris. I wanna expand your portfolio and dat ass.”
