Halle Berry Seeks to Reduce Support Payments to Gabriel Aubry

Is Halle Berry being squeezed for cash by her daughter's baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry?

In June of 2014, Halle Berry was hit with a huge child support settlement.  L.A. Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ordered Berry not only to pay the settlement, but also the retroactive payment of $115,000, and the $300,000 legal fees for Gabriel Aubry.  Ouch!  That’s a quite a wad of cash.  Aubry probably thought he hit the jackpot.  But wait, Berry has filed papers to slash Aubry’s support from $16,000 a month to $3,000.  I hope Aubry hasn’t become too comfortable with his cushy lifestyle, because it looks like the gravy train is pulling out of the station.  Choo, choo!!!

Here’s some of his questionable monthly spending:

$740  a  month for Aubry’s fitness

$940  a  month in clothing (Nahla expenses are $675 a month.)

$700  a  month for Aubry’s health insurance

$1,975 a month for car expenses

$1,100 a month for furniture and electronics

According to Berry, Aubry is perfectly capable of getting a job and she wants to convince a judge that while they share 50/50 custody of Nahla, Aubry has time to find employment.  She states, “There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns.”  Berry’s lawyer, Steve Kolodny claims Aubry uses his monthly child support for his own needs.  You have to admit, it sure seems that way.  You can’t blame Berry for wanting to cut him off.  The days of Gabriel Aubry enjoying his free ride are numbered.  It’s time for him to get a job!!

What do you think?  Would it be different if the roles were reversed?  Share your thoughts; I’m curious how much support there is for Halle Berry, or Gabriel Aubry.  Whose side are you on?
