Taylor Swift threw her annual Independence Day party Monday at her holiday mansion in Rhode Island, but BFF Selena Gomez was a no-show.
Instead, the 23-year-old singer threw her own bash, and posted a fun-and-flirty video to her Instagram, captioned “hostess vibes.”
In the video, Selena walks through her party in cute little navy shorts, and then falls back into a pool. DJ Khaled and Drake’s “For Free” plays in the background.
Selena posted videos and pictures of the party onto her Snapchat throughout the night.
Interestingly enough, Selena posted a video of her singing Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ onto her Snapchat. Sure, the song seems totally July 4 appropriate, but back in May, Selena was seen getting a little too cozy in Las Vegas with Orlando Bloom, who is apparently dating Perry.
So, is Selena ironically making fun of Perry, or is she making some sort of ‘no hard feelings, please’ statement? Or is she simply just singing an Independence Day-appropriate song?
Also, we wonder if Tay was hurt by Selena not showing to her party, or if the celeb was aware Selena would be throwing her own bash?
Regardless, we can all agree that Selena’s party looked pretty epic.
