Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow on the HBO series, and Rose Leslie, who played his character’s love interest Ygritte, have been dating on and off since 2012.
In recent outings, the couple is starting to be more public about their relationship. They officially hit the public as a couple at the 2016 Olivier Awards at the Royal Opera House in London in April. Since then, they have been spotted out and about on dates as a couple.
In an interview with Vogue Italia, Harrington stated, “Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s becomes very easy to fall in love.” Likewise, in an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Harington stated, “I fell in love in Iceland.” And when Ross asked whom he fell in love with, Harington smiled and said, “I fell in love with my co-star” and showed a picture of Jon Snow with Ygritte in the snow in Iceland.
