Kanye West spent $750,000 on those wax figures for his odd NSFW “Famous” music video! Yes, almost a MILLION dollars.
A few weeks ago, Kanye West premiered the wacky music video for the single using the waxy likenesses of wife Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Anna Wintour, Ray J, Taylor Swift, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, and George Bush. The odd collection of celebs created a super weird tableau. We’re not going to post the full, graphic video here, but if you really want to view it— check out Kanye’s YouTube channel.
“Kanye paid over $750,000 for the wax figures,” a source recently spilled to Life & Style. “It took over six months to make them and Kanye was involved in all stages of development of the figures. At one point, the music video shoot was delayed six weeks because Kanye wasn’t happy with how the figures looked.”
“Kanye became obsessed with the anatomy of Caitlyn Jenner’s wax figure,” the source added. “He never consulted Caitlyn, though. He just took the liberty of using her image for the video.”
CREEPY. Especially that bit about Caitlyn Jenner. After spending all that cash— where are the figures now? (Please be reused for Halloween decorations…)
While the video was intended to be super controversial— the celebs featured don’t seem to keen on giving Kanye any attention over their inclusion. The lack of drama is probably making him crazy.
