13 years after Disney Pixar’s successful film ‘Finding Nemo’ came out, a sequel centered on the quirky blue fish with short-term memory loss, Dory, has been released.
Similarly to how Dory, voiced by Ellen Degeneres, was a quick favorite of ‘Nemo’ audiences, finding Dory has proved to be a box office success.
The film had made history by being the biggest domestic opening of all time for an animated film, making an estimated $136.2 million at 4,305 theaters.
This also makes the film no. 18 of the biggest box office openings all time, the only animated movie to crack the top 20.
the film has gotten positive reviews, and currently holds a score of 8.3/10 on IMDB, and an audience score of 90% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
2015’s ‘Inside Out’ was the last Pixar film, which was also met with incredibly positive reviews. Clearly Pixar is on a role!
