Dylan O'Brien's health proves to be a sticking point.

Dylan O’Brien’s serious March 18th injury on The Maze Runner: The Death Cure’s Vancouver set has caused production of the film to shut down indefinitely according to The Hollywood Reporter. O’Brien sustained a “concussion, facial fracture and lacerations” while he was in a harness on top of a moving vehicle, he was suddenly pulled off the vehicle and hit by another vehicle. More details on the horrifying on-set accident below.

The entire cast and crew of the movie has been sent home. Filming was originally set to resume on May 9th,  but the young actor needs more time to fully recover. 20th Century Fox issued the following statement about the current shutdown:

“The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”

The Maze Runner: The Death Cure was intended to hit theaters on February 17, 2017, but that release date is no longer realistic at this point. O’Brien also stars in MTV’s Teen Wolf, so that TV program may also be impacted by the actor’s health concerns.

We hope Dylan makes a full recovery and heals up soon!
