The Power Rangers' growing cast now includes actor extraordinaire Bryan Cranston.

Beloved six-time Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Bryan Cranston has snagged the role of Zordon, the Power Rangers’ wise mentor-recruiter and nemesis of evil Rita Repulsa, in the brand new Power Rangers movie. In the ’90s TV show, Zordon appeared as a floating holographic head within a tube the Power Rangers’ headquarters. We’ll have to see what kind of update this character gets— Rita and the Power Rangers look way different in the sneak peeks we’ve seen so far.

It appears that all parties are thrilled about the latest casting reveal. Fun facts, Cranston has a history with the franchise— he voiced characters Snizard and Twin Man on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series in the early 1990s. Oh and the Blue Ranger— Billy Cranston—was named after him. So he should feel right at home on the set.

The film is due out in March 24, 2017. As previously announced, Elizabeth Banks stars as villian Rita Repulsa, Becky G as Yellow Ranger Trini, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, and RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger Billy.
